Preparing traditional Mexican tamales gives Susy the opportunity to recount memories of her childhood from the family excursions to visit her abuelita Amelia-memories of flavors and aromas found in a traditional Mexican kitchen. During the last days of December Susy will need to face the past. Her neighbors will discover a secret, and the mystery of the sports car will be revealed.
