In the aftermath of fighting Shadowslide, Chance recognizes some of her own mistakes waiting to happen in Candy, a young woman with a drug problem. Saving the girl from an overdose leads to an encounter with the police that escalates out of control; as long as she keeps secrets from Murkowski, he can't help her. Drug dealer China White unearths Chance's identity.
