Die Wirbel sind wenig geweiht, klein, zusammenstofsend, etwas eingerollt. Schlel's fast wie bei Cardium, unter dem Wirbel stehen zwei kleine Z???hne, beiderseits entfernt - steht eine zahnartige Lamelle, die vordere ist die grofscre. Sehlol'sband kurz, breit, aber wenig stark. Innenseite glatt, gl???nzend, die Muskeleindrucke fast eyformig, ziemlich tief. Die Rander sind theils glatt, an der Hinterseite etwas klaffend, theils dicht gekerbt und ???berall schliefsend. Die Farben sind meist angenehm, abwechselnd, meist dunk lere Strahlen auf hellem Grund. Aueh die Innenseite ist bei vielen Ar ten mit Roth oder Violett geziert.
