Seller's Description:
Good in Good jacket. The half title page has been signed by Lord Mayor Alderman F.J. Purdue in ink. The dust jacket is quite shelf rubbed, edge worn and marked, with a red ink stain and a coffee ring on the front. Despite this, the jacket remains whole, intact and legible. The boards are strong and sturdy, though the front has the same red ink marking on it as the dust jacket. Internally, there are no other markings or inscriptions, and the pages within are crisp, clean and complete. Tightly bound and presents handsomely in cellophane. JK.

Seller's Description:
Good in Good jacket. 96 pages (complete). A placid copy. Inscribed and signed by the legendary Lord Mayor of Newcastle, Frank Purdue. He was Lord Mayor thrice, and on the council of Newcastle for forty years. Also inscribed and signed by Walter Edgar Young (mayor from 1941-1942) on the first free page. The opposite page is full of signatures from Newcastle friends of the previous owner of the book-and inscribe-Kenneth Stoloff. A small Australian flag is affixed here. The dustjacket has a clear plastic protective cover. The dustjacket itself has some wear to edges, seams and corners. It has storage and age and handling marks and rubbing. It is secure and sure. The boards are mild mannered, a little scruffy, but in general mild-mannered, healthy and steady. The contents have foxing to the early and later pages. There is a short booklet on the city in a pocket affixed to the back pastedown. The contents are decent, assiduous, clean, clear, comfortable, earnest, amiable. fk.
