This is not your father's Jimmy Buffett tale! It's a story, based, apparently, on a true one, about a family whose Mom gets a job offer in New York City, so they leave their small-town home...with the family pig, a Vietnamese Pot-bellied fella named Rumpy. Mom, her twin children and Rumpy take up residence in a ritzy hotel (which, of course, doesn't allow pigs). The adventure is told by Rumpy and the twins. It is just as charming as it sounds like it should be, Rumpy is saved from the evil chef with roast Rumpy on his mind, and all's well that ends well. The illustrations are wonderful pencil drawings by Rumpy's real-life owner. It's a happy, funny story, a quick read, and Grandma and the kids will all like it.
