RETURN ON INVESTMENT: 8.5 of 10; For just entertaining diversion with a taste of science fiction to it, this film works. The special effects, the costumes the stunts and the sets are all very good. The character development is there. Everyone has their clearly defined roles to play and there are no unexplained extra bits, which means it was well edited. Panned for not being true to the video game, by itself, it does entertain. The musical background does not distract and comes into play for the dancing Goombas.

ADDED NOTES: The ending leaves the sense that a sequel was planned. Sadly, too much time has elapsed for that group to do a follow up. Then again, maybe a new group could shine even brighter.
