Will Henry has always been my favorite author and Summer of the Gun was a pleasure to read. It is full of drama and headshaking humor. The characters in this book are perfect examples of west Texas history and their attitudes toward and interaction with their environment and times is compelling and very entertaining. I read this book cover to cover didn't put it down once. It had my complete attention from beginning to end.
