The book isn't really about the Sultans of Yemen. It is the story of how cleverly the British moved into Arabia to establish their dominion in Aden and over the many rulers in southern Yemen. It is more of a braggards tale and a not an even account of the relations of the Arabs and the British. I didn't like it at all.
