Bureau of Fisheries for 1910, volume 30, Document no. 765. This monograph presents remedies for the threatened extinction of the Unionidae in the Upper Mississippi River. The shells of these threatened mussels have been taken in great numbers for the manufacture of pearl buttons and for the pearls they occasionally contain. No ownership marks and no signs of use. A fine (as new) copy.
