Good structure textbook!
This book written by Rohrer is one with clear description and illustration. It helped me a lot to understand the complex physical models of various kinds of chemical bondings as well as the x-ray diffraction. The physical picture introduced in this book is systematic and complete. With practical problems, the book is easy to understand and effective in practice. But the portion about space groups is not well written and the occasional mistakes in the book really sucks me. So if you wanna master the most essence and applicable part of diffraction and bonding theory, you should choose it instead of reading large piles of other classical ones like Pauling or Cullity.
