This book was helpful in introducing a spectrum with several types of personalities which allow you to identify the individual in question (in my case, my son). The authors also contribute a checklist of behaviors to confirm or deny your assumptions about that individual, be it your child, yourself, or someone else. Descriptive attitudes, methods of reasoning, potential conflicts at certain life stages (adolescence, etc.) and suggestions for parents make this a thorough treatment in understanding and having the tools to help a "dreamer" child. My one complaint is that if you discover your child is one of the other personalities on the spectrum, the book gives very little advice or assistance. The authors' intent is definitely to give insight into a "dreamer" personality rather than equal treatment to a strong-willed child and a dreamer.
