It basically described the scope and vision of this project as well as thanking him for his wit and wisdom in Shoeless Joe. Kinsella replied in short time and form: "I'm very distrustful of anyone who claims to hear voices. It is the fiction writer's job to create weird characters, but I wouldn't want to know any of them in real life." -W. P. Kinsella Kinsella had just called me a real-life weird character.
