The purpose of this book is to inform its readers of an approach to strength training which is far more efficient, productive, and safer than the conventional strength training approaches of today. In the mid 1970s, Jim Christian, a high school teacher and football coach, learned about a new and unusual way to strength train after visiting a nearby private fitness center. His early interest in developing an ideal strength program for athletes later led him to develop this new approach into a time-efficient, productive, and safe workout for men and women of all ages. The new approach is referred to as post-conventional, since it goes beyond the conventional way of thinking. Based upon the latest studies of how muscles become stronger, instructions and illustrations for post-conventional training are presented. Spiritual viewpoints are also presented, including the gospel of Christ.
