If you're interested in the history of Strasbourg, France this is a very well-done and thorough history for the stated period. This region bounced back and forth between national boundaries, was caught in the middle of the Protestant Reformation, and has various other fascinating features. It is well written but easy to read with appropriate citations. This book brought me exactly what I was hoping for.
