The somewhat discredited, over-genteel Giles translation. VG/VG+. Light sunning to cloth along upper and lower edges; several light stress waves to cloth surface lower front board and rear hinge ridge; lightly toed-in corners; cloth overall clean and sharp with bright white spine titles. Binding strong and square; pages clean and unmarked on slightly off-quality, uniformly lightly toned, thin stock. Jacket has 1" closed tear (internally taped) off upper front edge near hinge; light rubbing to hinge ridges, primarily on rear; "+" upgrade is due to clean, especially bright figures and colors front panel.
