Compared to her Study trilogy, this book doesn't quite hold up when it comes to flow and construction.
It is still a brilliant novel where Snyder brings her characters to life in her fantasy world, though it seems somewhat lacking.
But when we are given something as brilliant as Poison Study for an appetiser, what is one to expect.
Still a great novel, a nice easy read. I loved it through to the end.
A bit disappointed at the absence of Valek though
