This is one of the most African-American portrayals of Storm that you can find in comics both visually and interpretively. Adding a new dimension to the Storm and Black Panther marriage, Dickey takes us through a story of youth coming-of-age, and the confusing feelings and issues which can emerge when two powerful force of nature, destined to be together, first meet. There are a couple of moments when Dickey seems to be pandering to an American audience with jokes about 'weave' and such, but otherwise this is an interesting reappraisal and much more culturally relevant take on Ororo and T'Challa.
