Hardcover, fair. Soil and water(? ) stains on cloth, backstrip gone from spine, 1/4 x 1 inch chip off lower corner of front board. Internally, shaken, front and rear hinges cracked, additional hinge cracks between a few of the gatherings, first free front endpaper removed, lower corners of a few adjoining leaves creased, previous owner's signature (in pencil), some tanning and sporadic foxing throughout, laid-in pieces of silk thread on several pages, otherwise decent, unmarked reading copy.
