In 1970, Abbie Hoffman conceived the idea for his most ambitious book project yet. He had begun criss-crossing the country, ferreting out alternative ways of getting along in America--some illegal, but most of them having to do with survival techniques. Steal This Book captures the spirit of those years, describing actions and techniques that were already in use in all 50 states. Illustrations, photos & cartoons.

Seller's Description:
Very Good. Octavo. 308pp. Black panel with red and white lettering. Ink underlining on two pages of the introduction, and several pages in the "Fuck New York" section, otherwise a tight copy. "The book exemplified the counterculture of the sixties, mainly focused on ways to fight against the government and against corporations in any way possible. The book is written in the form of a guide to the youth. Hoffman, a political and social activist himself, used many of his own activities as the inspiration for some of his advice.
My husband wondered if we could find this book. I began to look and found it was no longer in print. I stumbled across Alibris and walla! Thanks, Alibris. You made my husband's day and mine. Service was excellent, received the book in time for his special day.
