This may be the beginning of my favorite of Nora Roberts' many trilogies! A mermaid, a seer, an eternal man, a magician, a werewolf & an Irish adventurer who can instantly travel anywhere; what a cast for the six mortals who must retrieve the stars and battle an evil goddess for the survival of the entire world! The Stars of Fortune are actual stars fallen from the Heavens by the machinations of said evil goddess. These stars were the gifts of 3 good goddesses for the coronation of a mortal queen of a magical island. Although they could not stop the evil one from dislodging the stars from the heavens, they could conceal the places where they fell to Earth. A wonderful book!
