Very Good. No dust jacket, as issued. Book Early reprint with 1889 copyright date and no additional printings noted. Clean and tightly bound in navy cloth with gilded titles and imagery. Light wear at upper spine end and edges, remains Very Good. The contents include a folded map "Equatorial Africa" (near fine) and numerous illustrations. This copy is from a 19th Century private lending institution, the Mercantile Library of New York City. There are no external indications of the library's ownership.
