I love Shannon McKenna! Her books are well written, the heroes are appealingly 'alpha male', and the romance cooks. I especially love the books which feature the McCloud brothers.
Spoiler Alert! My only gripe with this series is the plot always seems to be variations on the same theme. The lovers always end up on the run, hiding out in a seedy hotel; then the heroine takes off on her own & the hero tracks her with a bug he secretly plants on her. I won't give away the ending, but it's always basically the same, too. However, since this is only the second book in the series, you can read this one without really knowing how it ends, unless you've read them out of order & have already read the others!
I still enjoyed them, I just wish the author would come up with something a little different in each one.

Intense!
This story was a great combination of suspense and sexual heat. Conor and Erin are both hurting since Conor was instrumental in causing erin's perfect life to fall apart. But, they love each other and that is really the only thing that have to build upon - if they can get past the pain. The sex scenes in Ms McKenna's books are intense and can be unsettling but are central to the story development.
