This book deals with serious problems facing the Churches of Christ in the 21st century. Various problems are confronted like: the version question, the new face of the church, liberalism, women elders, women preachers, brethren who are self-willed, church cooperation and orphan homes, the shortage of preachers, why people quit and leave the Church, and the battle against worldliness. Jehovah God pleaded with Judah to ask for the old paths and to walk therein (Jer. 6:16). The apostle Paul encouraged the Christians of the first century to "Stand fast in the faith" (1 Cor. 16:13) and to "Stand fast and hold the teachings which ye were taught whether by word or by epistle of ours" (2 Thess. 2:15). God does not want us tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine (Eph. 4:14). The only solution is to give an in-depth study of the Scriptures (2 Tim. 2:15) and "stand fast in the Lord" (Phil. 4:1). We are to live by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matt. 4:4).
