This is one of the best all-round starter books I've ever come across. I run a studio, and teach classes, and this is the one I always recommend to my students. It has thorough instructions, including the little "tricks of the trade" which most books leave out, as well as page after page of really gorgeous designs, ranging from simple to complex, all rendered in well done full color photos. It also walks you through needed tools, and setting up your work space. This one's a must!!

Confidence for beginners
This book is full of hints and tips for the beginner that will build the confidence they need to challenge themselves to beautiful creations. With this book, beginners can feel like a seasoned pro from the starting line. For the more experienced artist, this book is a delight to come back to for patterns time and time again. Changing the glass used for each completed piece offers a diversity that just can't find into a binding. If you need another book to add to your collection, this is definately one that you will be wishing you had found a long time ago!
