The book is a good review of the terrible disease that was Polio and the work done to find a vaccine to prevent the disease. It brought back memories of having to stay home during the summer when the disease was raging. I remember the first shot and then the oral vaccine on a sugar cube. All in all it was a good book that revealed what life was like for the general public as well as the researchers.
