He thought the tiny town would be a safe haven for his witness, but now the man is dead and Nick's case is gone. As the bodies start piling up, Hardie and Nick work their way through an investigation that eventually ends up in New Orleans at the swank estate of one of the city's Cajun mob bosses. Hardie and Nick try to maintain a professional relationship, but she has legs to kill for. Hardie has also noticed that Nick is all that she ever wanted in a man and more.
