Although Carmen Miranda, the singer who helped to bring Brazilian music to America, was only around as a performer for a relatively short period of time, approximately 15 years, she produced a lot material, some of which is collected on the 1993 Jasmine Records release South American Way. "Mama Eu Quero," "The Man with the Lollipop Song," "Chica Chica Boom Chic," "Diz Que Tem," and of course, the title song are all included on this 24-track disc, making it, all in all, a decent Miranda compilation. ~ Marisa Brown, Rovi
