The argument of this book is that the narrative of redemption that we find in the Bible is the way that God offers restoration to humanity. As such, it provides the signposts that the ministry of soul-care must follow. The book also proposes that soul-care should be the primary objective of Christian counseling and an essential part of local church ministries in the mutual support believers give to each other.
