Trieste Publishing has a massive catalogue of classic book titles. Our aim is to provide readers with the highest quality reproductions of fiction and non-fiction literature that has stood the test of time. The many thousands of books in our collection have been sourced from libraries and private collections around the world. The titles that Trieste Publishing has chosen to be part of the collection have been scanned to simulate the original. Our readers see the books the same way that their first readers did decades or a hundred or more years ago. Books from that period are often spoiled by imperfections that did not exist in the original. Imperfections could be in the form of blurred text, photographs, or missing pages. It is highly unlikely that this would occur with one of our books. Our extensive quality control ensures that the readers of Trieste Publishing's books will be delighted with their purchase. Our staff has thoroughly reviewed every page of all the books in the collection, repairing, or if necessary, rejecting titles that are not of the highest quality. This process ensures that the reader of one of Trieste Publishing's titles receives a volume that faithfully reproduces the original, and to the maximum degree possible, gives them the experience of owning the original work.We pride ourselves on not only creating a pathway to an extensive reservoir of books of the finest quality, but also providing value to every one of our readers. Generally, Trieste books are purchased singly - on demand, however they may also be purchased in bulk. Readers interested in bulk purchases are invited to contact us directly to enquire about our tailored bulk rates.

Seller's Description:
Very Good in Very Good jacket. Size: 4to-over 9.75"-12" tall; Lovely 2nd printing hardcover in navy blue cloth with bright gilt titles on frt board and backstrip. Corners bumped showing color loss but no major rubbing. Cloth on boards not pulled as tight as it could be, bit of wavyness but nothing offensive. Pictorial dj in new mylar is a professional reproduction that displays well and will keep this book in fine form. Text unmarked save for age toning on end pages. Most of the colored tipped-in plates on heavy brown card stock by Lionel Edwards are in fine condition save for one with a faint crease (no chipped edges) and one plate shows some cream paper adhering from opposing page, not loose, just extra glue from printer again, not offensive but wanting to mention all visible defects. This is one of a series of foxhunting and sporting poem volumes, all in uniform 4to size, illustrated by Lionel Edwards (1878-1966). L.E. was one of the most prolific of British sporting artists, and a prolific author as well. He studied under A. Cope and Frank Calderon at the School of Animal Painting in Kensington. Edwards was most at home in straight hunting sketches, and he became a favorite of the hunting fraternity, who even today find pleasure in the more than seventy books he illustrated. Welcome company by the fireside for any actual or armchair lover of the chase.
