'Snow Lion" by David McPhail is a great read aloud book for young children! Poor lion is so hot in the jungle, he walks and walks to find someplace cool to rest. He finds a surprise and tries to bring it back to his jungle friends. When he gets back to the jungle, it's gone! Young children love to figure out the mystery. The book is also a great introduction to the different forms of water. One of my children's favorites!
