Sarah, Hagar, Rebekah, Leah, and Rachel are five women from Genesis who often stubbed their toes on the rocky path of righteousness--mostly good, yet slightly bad. In this volume, Higgs combines contemporary fiction and verse-by-verse commentary in her novel approach to Bible study, offering eye-opening lessons for women who long to know if God loves them, flaws and all.

The book goes into detail about Sarah, Abraham, Rebekah, Isaac and their families. It was very well written and it explains everything to the point. There is also stories about people of today's time in the same kind of situation that these people faced back then. We are doing this book with the workbook for bible studies and it is a very easy read book. I am looking forward to the other girls of the bible series by Liz Curtis Higgs.

Great book and study
The book is informative of Bible facts but also gives a human side that makes Biblical characters come alive - they were people just like us. Its amazing how many situations and even predicaments are the same we experience today. The accompanying workbook has made a great women's small group study, bringing out personal stories, struggles, triumphs and lessons learned.
