In their desperate attempt to save their friends, they are aided by Skip's guardian, aunt May, and by a number of prayer warriors both at home, and across the sea. In the course of their journey they have to overcome a mysterious power named, 'The Looming Menace.' They confront a number of 'lying wonders, ' and face death more than once. Unknown to Skip and the girls there is a battle going on in the heavenly places between angels and demons. All these battles are focused on these three young people called to face impossible odds. This is a novel for young and old alike, a combination of fantasy, drama, and adventure that nevertheless confronts the heart with truth and light.
