I recently got the Skinny Bitch fitness: Boot Camp, and i LOVED it. I'm not the type to really take myself seriously as I stand in my living room in my sweats trying to follow the super buff trainer you'd see on any given workout DVD. I think that Rory and Kim ( The official Skinny Bitches, and writers of the NY best seller Skinny Bitch, plus their additions to the name) really had people like me in mind.. REAL people. They make the work out fun, they make mistakes, and laugh at each other, and genuinely have a good time, which in turn made me have a good time going along with it.
The work out itself was also great, I've only done it a couple times thus far, but each time i feel more confidant with each move and I can feel my self improving physically. Rory does the more advanced moves, while Kim tones them down with a lighter variation of the same move, which is great because I was able to start with the lighter, then move to the harder intensity.
Beyond the physical aspects, Rory and Kim encourage a healthy lifestyle in general; saying things like " don't go sit down with a big bowl of ice cream just because you worked out!" (it's like they actually know me!). AND they readily admit that even they themselves, THE skinny bitches, love to eat, but it's all about moderation, and burning off what you take in. Even if it's just a little work out, it's better than nothing at all.
