Seller's Description:
Near Fine in Very Good jacket. First edition. Near fine in an edgeworn and internally repaired, about very good dustwrapper. Inscribed by the author to Leonard Sitomer, an agent in the play department at the William Morris Agency, with apparent affection: "April 3, 1956 To Leonard, With grateful thanks for helping this, and so many other projects, along the way to fruition-Reggie." Laid in are two Autograph Letters Signed by Rose, to Sitomer's wife (Signed "Reg"), and to his parents (Signed "Reginald Rose"), apparently upon Sitomer's death. Each letter is one-and-a-half pages long, and each expresses eloquent and sincere condolences. Six plays that appeared first on television, including two that were made into films: *Twelve Angry Men* and *Crime in the Streets* with James Whitemore, John Cassavetes, and Sal Mineo. This book was published shortly before the teleplay of *Twelve Angry Men* was made into the classic Sidney Lumet courtroom drama featuring Henry Fonda, Lee J. Cobb, Ed Begley, E.G. Marshall, Jack Klugman, Jack Warden, and Martin Balsam.
