A city that she once dreamed of. A dream that becomes reality! But she never dreamed of the obstacles that she would face in a barren land filled with deception, hate, and territorialism. Barbara found herself trapped in a dream that becomes a nightmare as she pursues her desire as a gospel recording artist in the ATL. In Sing, Gal, Sing II, Barbara Cox shares her trials and tribulations as she struggles and strives to fulfill her desire as a gospel recording artist and songwriter. This story takes place in the Atlanta, Georgia area, where the author travels to this strange land to pursue her God-given talent but only to be deceived, hurt, and shattered. As long as she can recall, she knew the Lord had chosen her to minister His word through songs. At a young age, Barbara remembered singing songs that she had not been taught. While singing in the choir at St. John Baptist Church in Marshall, Texas, her talent was nurtured. She began writing songs at approximately age nine. Barbara traveled with various choirs while attending Panola Jr. College and The University of Texas in Tyler. In 2001, she released her first CD titled Guardian Angel. Presently, Barbara is under the leadership and teaching of Don L. Stanley at The Evangel Assembly of God in Tyler, Texas. However, she grew up in The St. John Baptist Church in Marshall, Texas. She's a rose in the midst of life's thorns. She is an anointed, humble, and loving person that loves the Lord. It will be demonstrated in her singing of the word as well as her daily walk with the Lord.
