Simeon Is a seeker--a musician who longs to be better -- to be able to create music that would raise the spirits and souls of those who heard it. On his quest for the missing elements he is confronted with several situations which require somewhat moral decisions. His journey ends with a dissatisfied and very lonely Simeon. Abandoning his music by trading his treasured lute for a boat on which to return home, he encounters new decisions to be made -- making the choices based on the truth and beauty of his own character.
