To say that Anne Noggle is the only retired pilot who has ever taken a picture of herself showing the scars of a recent face-lift is to give some idea of how unusual both her career and the nature of her work have been. But Noggle cannot be pigeonholed as a documentary photographer. She is an expressionist with a constantly growing vision.
