As the students are on the way to the distant lake and their brief escape from school, they try to scare each other with stories about its creepy history. It is said that there is a "devil wind" there that attacks strangers. After the group arrives, they take turns telling tall tales which are then illustrated from start to finish. In one of their stories an abominable snowman hangs a young man and in another, a haunted apartment creates havoc on the youths who had decided to spend the night there.
