In this intriguing and often touching story, we realise how unworldly and disadvantaged Jimmy has been, owing to his institutionalised upbringing. This largely autobiographical story covers what might be termed 'the second phase' of the author's life, following on from A Visitor for Jimmy Brown , which is the author's traumatic childhood story, originally published in 1998.
