Wonderful book, amazing condition!
Somehow Roy Campbell slipped beneath my radar. He was on the wrong side during the Spanish Civil War and seems to have been shunned by the establishment ever since. His first work was favourably compared with the Waste Land - just a tad before my time so I missed those reviews!
Praise for Campbell is never unalloyed. ("he was vigorous in all he wrote, but not distinctly original." a comment quoted in Wikipedia) A similar fate was not suffered by 'communist' poets of his age. It has been a delight to discover his poetry.
As for the book itself, the 1982 imprint is in mint condition. A complete delight.
