Very Good. Orono, ME: National Poetry Foundation, 2000. First edition, first printing, association copy inscribed and signed by the author on the title page. This copy was a gift by the author to Marcella Spann [Booth], who was a Professor of English at the University of Connecticut at the time of publication. Spann started visiting the poet Ezra Pound while a student in mid 1956 when he was incarcerated at St. Elizabeth's hospital, and later became his assistant, travelling with Pound and his family to live in Italy after his release in 1958. Softcover in about fine condition, a few notes in Spann's handwriting in the text. Inscription reads: For Marcella, belatedly, with the old affection made new in E.P. 's birthplace, July 2003, Walter Baumann. Inscribed by the Author. First Edition. Soft Cover. Very Good. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall.
