This book helped me to identify much of the flora on the Colorado River corridor, although I had never been there before and was unfamiliar with desert flora. Once you figure out how it is arranged, it is quick to navigate through by family and genus. The photos in this book are extremely helpful, detailing important aspects of the plants. I was pleased at overall how complete this book is. The only thing I wished was that it had a little more detail on some of the grasses and rushes.
