A final animation allows children to take a photo of themselves with Rita and become a part of her journey. Rita and her dad travel to the North Pole after being invited by her Uncle Daniel to spend a few days with him. When they get there, however, they find that Daniel s boat is trapped in ice and it s up to them to save him and the crew. In one of the three-dimensional animations included in the story, Rita shares more information with readers about the local Inuit people and the consequences of global warming.
