The wagon train faces challenges and Indian attacks, which sends Melody on to a new path and way of life when she is rescued by North Star, a kind medicine man and spiritual leader of the Cree nation. God sets into motion the birth and rise of Spirit Walker, who is the son of John Turner but adopted as the son of North Star and the Cree nation.
