It's solid evidence of her versatility, which found her able to handle smoky jazz, show tunes, pop, and movie themes, all in her well-paced, multi-octave delivery (most effective when she reached for deep notes). The vaudeville-like charge through "I'm Just Wild About Harry" may be dispensable, but otherwise most of this is pretty stately, including a couple nice entries into mainstream pop: "You'll Answer to Me" (a Top Five hit in the U.K. in 1961) has lyrics by Hal David, and 1965's "If We Lived on the Top of a Mountain" could easily pass for a Bacharach-David tune, although it was actually penned by Les Reed (author of Tom Jones' "It's Not Unusual").
