Sometimes in life, you just want to yell "Take two!" When a Polar Plunge goes terribly wrong and someone dies in the icy water, former TV detective Joey Darling wants nothing to do with subsequent investigation. Joey Darling is a quirky, mixed up, messed up, actress with a penchant for getting in trouble. And so begins another delightful mystery from the very talented pen of Christy Barritt. Thrills and chills, literally, abound in Reign Of Error! Hard to put down and a lot of fun to read!
There is something endearing about this flawed heroine. She makes mistakes, shoots off her mouth, big time in this story, and she has a past that isn't exactly pretty. But, oh, is she fun to read about!
Reign Of Error is another great addition to The Worst Detective Every Mystery Series. Fans of mysteries and cozy mysteries will definitely enjoy this series, it's sweet and sassy, funny and chilling. All the ingredients for perfect read under a fluffy blanket.
(I received a copy of this book from the author. All opinions are entirely my own.)

Cold-Hearted Murder
In this second book of Christy Barritt's "The Worst Detective Ever" Series, poor Joey is drawn in to another murder! With friend Zane as her sometimes helpful but always fun sidekick, Joey tries to find out who killed a man who had HER picture in his wallet! Much to the dismay of police detective Jackson Sullivan, Joey stumbles onto clues the police might have missed, and once again she's thrown into danger. And the town's mayor, loving all the publicity Joey's fame brings, keeps getting her in deeper and deeper. As the case gets stranger and stranger, she picks up clues about her missing father, but doesn't know how to connect all the pieces. I love the quirky characters, the setting (Outer Banks of North Carolina), and the two guys in Joey's life (but I have to admit, I'm rooting for Jackson).
