Reflections was the 5th Dimension's second album for Bell Records. While not a greatest-hits album, this compiles some of the better tracks from their Soul City albums. The group's covers of an oddly peppy take on "Sunshine of Your Love" and draggy "Ticket to Ride" are as bad as they got. Narrowly escaping being lame, the cover of "Those Were the Days" benefits from Davis Jr. not changing his soulful inflection one iota. Ashford & Simpson's great, though never a hit, "California Soul" is also included in this collection. Reflections is one of those albums that even fans might have missed on the shelves.
