This report describes an 18-month research project which looked at specific police initiatives and general policies to recruit members of ethnic minorities. The findings show that ethnic minority recruitment is an issue which touches on a very broad range of police policies and practices, and will be of interest to everyone concerned with formulating and implementing policies that recognize the multi-racial nature of our society and create equal opportunities within it.
