This is a true story about a doctor who has to face his own mortality and the options he is given to try and save his life using western medical technology. He becomes sicker and sicker as he progresses through this maze of modern options. He can't believe that there is no help for him from all the specialists to whom he has always referred patients. He stumbles on a ray of hope centered on the macrobiotic diet. But he is so stuburn in his medical training that he can't accept that just changing how and what he eats can make any difference at all. It takes repeated testing of his beliefs and this one remaining hope to convience him that this will work for him. This book came as a "tap on the shoulder" while I was looking for the same kind of help.

An Inspiring Book
This is truly a remarkable story of how a doctor overcame cancer purely by changing his diet. Dr Anthony Sattilaro had cancer in his prostate, ribs, skull and spine amongst other places and was only given a short time to live. But he not only beat the cancer and survived, but he now is healthier and happier than he's ever been. This is an un-put-downable book as you follow his journey of finding out about his cancer, to losing all hope of living and then his remarkable recovery and all the people he met along the way. I was hypnotised by this incredible story and the brilliant way it's written just keeps you spell-bound to the end. I bought this book a few years ago but gave it to a woman I met who had cancer. I then bought it again and have read it several times.
