It isn't all safe, though; Nick Cave, Beck, John Cale, and Brendan Perry certainly aren't that likely to surface on your local commercial AAA outlet, although these are balanced by conservative choices like Mark Isham and Lindsey Buckingham. Much (though not all) of these tracks have an "unplugged" feel, and there's also the rare duet by Evan Dando (of Lemonheads) and Juliana Hatfield.
